Yarn, price, service.
A mohair blend that doesn't make me start feeling itchy. 02 February 2015 | Alicia
I have always pretty much steered clear of anything mohair because I have never found a blend which looks good and feels kind to the skin. But a client requested that I design a body and knit it (to be worn very close to the skin) and despite my suggestions that a cashmere blend might look more classy for her upmarket photo shoot and would certainly be kinder for the model, she went ahead, taking my recommendation that we use Rowan Kid Classic. If anyone is going to get it right, it's probably going to be Rowan.
The finished body was gorgeously soft and looked amazing. The stitch definition on the cables in the design was wonderful. I'm a convert!

Kid classic is a soft yarn. It is also very warm.
The color sage is really a very beautiful green.
I' ve made legwarmers with it.
I just love it and I will buy it again!!
Jannettes service is very fast!! Only 3 days for Belgium.

Wonderful service, excellent prices. The yarn is simply gorgeous. Have made Tiny Owl's "Ships & Seaside" cowl and it is absolutely beautiful. The colours work a treat, all I need now is some chilly weather.

I made a frilly boa with this yarn. The yarn has a beautiful warm and silky feel. When I finished knitting it I soaked it in "Soak", gently squeezed it out and hung it up to dry. If anything, the yarn improved to an even softer quality. I have used it before when I made a sweater for one of my daughters, so I knew that I would love it - and I did.

Like many before me, I have knit the Kat textured and cabled hat by Kim Hargreaves. It was a great introduction to Rowan's Kid Classic Wool. I believe everyone should have a little mohair in their life and Kid Classic is a well balanced combination that is a pleasure to knit with. And the finished result is a pleasure to wear. Warm and lightweight.
